Six Weeks Old

Today my son is six weeks old. Did you hear that...my son? These past weeks have been amazing to say the least. It has truly been a roller coaster of events, lessons and love. I have learned more about myself, my husband and life in general than I have in the seven plus years we have been married.

Children grow at a rapid pace. I have watched Edan grow too fast over the past weeks. Weekly sometimes daily I would see something different in him. He now stays awake for hours at a time and is very curious. He loves to listen to music, hear you talk or sing, be outside (especially at sunset) and he also appreciates art. He also loves baths...who doesn't though.

I am headed back to work next Monday. I have cried twice so far. I am not looking forward to leaving Edan, but I know it will be wonderful for him as well as me. I will miss our daily playtimes, feedings and even the diaper changes.

August 02, 2010 was the happiest day of my life and I have an entire life to share with this beautiful beautiful boy. I love you Edan. I can not express in words my love for you. When you smile at me..ah...speechless. I look forward to sharing life and giving love to you.
